This blog is officially DEAD!! eXterminated!! THE END!!!! Ok, maybe not, but from the looks of it it can well be considered... Nothing to write about my life, actually... Been literally burning my precious holidays day after day by just staring at the monitor... Jobs ain't easy to find, I mean those jobs that're not cheap labour like McDonalds for instance... Connections, opportunity and luck are very well needed nowadays for holiday student work... Anyone who knows of any jobs vaccancies please inform me!! =D Really thanks if you do =)

Went to celebrate Leon's birthday yesterday at Seoul Garden at Marina Bay... It was nice, I mean the food and the activities... It was long before I got to gobble such a wide variety and quantity of meat!! Too bad I was sick, else I would have helped myself to that mouth watering HUGE tubs of ice cream LOL... Went to billards after that, yeah it was fun indeed (my second real life billards play lol)...

Yeah that's about it, LOL.. My life suck, but what to do? I'm a no-lifer LOL... You all know that I seldom even step out of my house lol.. Partly due to the financial crisis I'm in now though.. Can't afford to put myself in front of the wrath of temptation too many times... This is indeed just another boring holiday.. Just wish that I could get into the course that I want in Singapore/Ngee Ann Poly next year, so that I can be on my way to the REAL big thing...

Anyway, all the best to you guys and really, hope that we all can get to where we want eventually... Just the fact that our results for the O levels will be released early January makes the anxiety level rise day after day... I'll place a countdown timer here when the exact date is out =)

Been a long time since posting. O levels are indeed a time killer... Btw, can anyone figure what the freakin' hell is this? I heard it's able to enable some sort of 'abilities' that's in humans when used... Please do post your opinions about it!! =)

Haha just kiddin'. This is just some kind of dud prop used in the show Heroes... It's split into halves, but I figured it might be cool to merge them up using some Photoshop magic.. =)
This blog is not dead yet. At least not for now.. Been busy in the O levels.. Now that the vital papers are over, do stay tuned for more posts!! =D

Film - Kung Fu Panda

The show is fantastic. Probably the funniest show I've ever watched. The CGI is very realistic, albeit distinguishable from real movies of course. I was queuing for the popcorn while Remesh turned up behind me. I turned my head to look back and rolled me eyes. I pretended to not see her and continued looking ahead. She did not know the person in front of her was me, at least I think so. Only after I placed an order when it's my turn at the counter, she confronted me and I had no choice but to act surprised and say 'Hi'. Well, such things are bound to occur because of the close proximity of my place to the school. I have met Norpipah a couple of times around me vicinity, and Mdm Kalpana is living at the 2nd floor of my Block >.<

Teachers aside, I went in, bore a couple of commercials, and witnessed the opening scene: The DreamWorks logo. (**Warning: The following contain spoilers, if you have not watched the show, please continue reading, it might save you your $10 =D) It was modified to a Kung Fu style version that made the whole thing quite cranky. So, it started out as Po the Panda, dreaming of himself becoming a Kung Fu master, when he was awoken by the call of his dad, a goose LOL. He made a living selling noodles, while on the other side, the Master of shifu, the red panda you see in the TV ads, a tortoise, claimed that the evil Tai Lung, a snow leopard, would break out of prison and create havoc (typical scripted storyline, bad guy comes out, good guy beats up bad guy, good guy wins, and yay =_=). Thus, the tortoise had to pick a "dragon warrior" to defeat this leopard. A ceremony was held, and the "Furious 5", a team consisting of a Tigress, a Monkey, a Mantis, a Viper and a Crane, all trained by the Shifu, demostrated their skills at the ceremony. When the panda was stuck outside the ceremony when the door closed before he could get in, he tried a couple of humorous ways to get in, and settled for a bunch of rockets. Just as the tortoise was going to point at the tigress, the rockets blasted the panda into the air, resulting in the panda to land infront of the tortoise's finger. Thus, he got chosen as the dragon warrior.

The scene then cuts to the faraway prison, where Tai Lung is held in underneath a deep cliff. A messenger goose had been sent by shifu to warn the rhino guards at the prison, where the complacent rhino-in-charge gave the goose a tour of the "formidable" prison, inadvertently causing one of the goose's feathers to drop right in front of Tai Lung. He uses that to pick the lock of his restrainer, and showcased his skills before escaping the prison. It all boils down to this - if the tortoise hadn't claimed that Tai Lung would escape, the goose would never be sent there, thus Tai Lung would never had the feather to pick his lock, and he would not have escaped. Thus, the tortoise is the villian in this show that caused the trouble in the first place, believe it or not.

Afterwhich, while the panda is being trained by the shifu, the Furious Five went to challenge the leopard by themselves. Initially they had seemingly defeated him, but at the end, the leopard resorted to his ulti - blocking all of their accupoints. The panda was then hastily given the Dragon Scroll, some kind of shit that unlocks some kind of power that can defeat the leopard, but after all that grand WOW scenes the scroll turned out to be blank and just a reflective surface. Puzzled, the Panda gave up and evacuated with the rest of the population while the shifu remained to buy time by holding up the leopard. The panda's dad then told him a secret: his secret recipe to the soup of his noodles is nothing. His skills was the secret recipe. Enlightened, the panda immediately realised that the secret power of the scroll was himself, and went back to help his shifu. Just as his shifu was about to get skewered, the panda stopped the execution and the leopard mocked at him, asking: "What're you going to do? Sit on me?" Ironically, the panda really sat on him while they were battling down the stairs. In the end, when the leopard was going to use his ulti again on the panda, he was unable to do so because the panda's accupoints were shielded by his fats. What, the, f*beep*. So this was why the panda was chosen. And so the panda defeated the leopard by causing some kind of nuclear explosion at the end, by the Wuxi Finger Hold, some kind of skill shifu nearly performed on the panda by the shifu. And the ending - you guessed it, the panda lived happily ever after. After the credits roll, there was even a scene showing some sweet nothings between the shifu and the panda. Yes, I missed that, left the theatre before the credits rolled.

Lol after all this talk, I will want to give the show.... A 9/10 rating. That 1 rating left out is for the retarded plot - that an amateur panda with a clumsy and lazy attitude - can actually defeat a villian that even 5 well-versed martial arts masters can't do. What an insult to kung fu - not that I'm a fan or what, but it's just lame lol...

Other than the worksheets given out, I see no point in attending the 3 day study camp. Only around ½ the class turned up for most lessons and the teaching was just like a normal school day. At least, for today, things were different. I decided to follow the Group* and ended up at New York in AMK Hub for lunch. First impression to me was, a grand restaurant with a grand price tag too. Still, I managed to pull it off with just $13. Why do I keep hitting the number 13? Even the floor of my flat and the inverse of my index number are 13 >.<

After that, the group went to Popular while I have to go back to attend to... ahem........ Issues.

MTL "Enrichment"

Not much to talk about today. I have to comment though, for today's CL Enrichment, there was practically nothing to enrich about, at least for the class of 406. No one ever gave a damn about Chinese and it's like a whole day of free periods given out as such. In the midst of the atmosphere of slackiness, I could see cards, PSPs, etc. being dished out by almost everyone.

As known, MTL O level will commence on next Monday, but seriously, from the way Mr Yong (a.k.a. Earthshaker) teaches in class, we're better off doing our own stuff while he shakes the ground. For those who did not know why did he get such a name, it's all thanks to the amazing feat he had done the beginning of last year, slamming the table till it broke with his bare palm.

Anyway, that sums up the day. It was literally this boring and short. I went to Perry's house afterwards to get back me xbox, then I saw this interesting new bus design concept while on the bus on the way back.

End of Mid Year Exams!!

I'm finally able to find time to write my 2nd post (after 15days still 2nd post >.<). It's the end of the mid year exams!! I went to celebrate with Yong Jin and Yao Rong and we went to a cyber-gaming cafe in between the AMK hub and S-11. I completely owned both of them in Counter-Strike(I have to comment on YR's AWP skill though), while Yong Jin completely owned me in Dota, with him obtaining 13 kills while I only got a 3 >.<

Frankly, it was my 1st time there, and the moment I stepped into it, it looks like a normal HDB flat unit, with the exception that rows and rows of PCs were lining up all the way back where I can't see, literally. It's also rather bright, considering the darkness lan gaming rooms should be, so as to reduce glare and stuff. Before I blabber on about the cheap AMD systems they used, I will like to state that for $2 per hour, it's really what I will get for what I paid for.

Now to the exams, I totally screwed my Maths exam, and partially for my Physics. POA, Chem, Chinese and F&N are way out of the passing bounds, however I'm confident I will do well in English and the Humanities instead. Still, I have to buck up for maths, chem and either POA or F&N to get into a decent poly. The exam hall was terribly, extremely 0°K cold, my brain as well as my hands were completely iced. I do appreciate the school staff for turning on the aircons, but can't they show at least a little mercy on the temp control gauge? Setting a 25°C would be just nice for such rainy weathers.

Me first Post!!!

Can't believe I finally decided to venture into the realms of blogging. Had thought that was a no-man's thing, but after looking at xi han's blog, as advertised on his MSN, and moving on to the links of his, made me realise that almost the entire class blogs! It's a great feeling though, to be able to express my thoughts and whatever at a website of me own!!!

Casting aside the crappy intro, tomorrow is labour day!! Just another holiday perhaps, but I seem to have this unexplainable delight for such days. Maybe it's because of the needless requirement to wake up early, but oh well.

Today's a rather extraordinary day. I managed to get dota on a DVD and played a couple of minutes with Eugene during the F&N periods in the com lab. Had to look out for rashida and the 4/7 tr LOL.. Worse off, I can be doing that the week before Mid-Yrs, and the final coursework submisson date day after tomorrow. Realising that I'm not panicking by now, not even for the expiring coursework dateline, makes me panic about not panicking >.<
As for the EL Oral Exam later today, how I wish I could retake that! I kindof screwed up partly on the picture discussion, but I was completely OWNED by the conversation question 1, "What kind of competitions have you taken part in before?" WTF, my mind got completely stalled by that. As a geek you know I am, and someone who dislikes competitions, it's hard to think of ANY. I decided to attempt a shot at a deceit. I claimed that I've taken part in some dota competition before, but ended up describing what's dota and what's warcraft 3 in a rather technical and stupid way, out of confusion the teacher skipped the question entirely and proceeded on to the next. Made me freakin pai seh and stuff. I've got the assurance that I will get a stup(id)endous score for my EL oral.

Aside from that, Grand Theft Auto IV is finally out today!!! Me bro has pre-ordered it, and he should be bringing that back anytime now. Still, it's a blessing and a curse. Why, of all times, would they release it on the week BEFORE mid yrs!!! I have plans to revise on me mid yrs, but damn, from the looks of it it won't be possible =X
